Colorado Celebration

The Colorado celebration was held at The Stone House in Lakewood, CO on August 22nd, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 pm: there was an abbreviated program that mirrored the Massachusetts celebration (see the Massachusetts celebration website for the speeches). There were games and mingling. As Emily wished, all were welcome to celebrate ("the more the merrier"). This is a park that Emily and her brother Matt frequented as children. Emily's childhood and college friends were joined by family and family friends to celebrate Emily's life.

Similar to the Massachusetts celebration, this was a family picnic style event, so families were invited to bring a picnic dinner for their family. Attendees were asked to wear shirts to honor Emily ("Emily's kickline shirts").
